District 1 Councilmember Tom Dernoga has arranged for a paper shredding event in Beltsville on Saturday, March 21 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, or until the truck is full. It is open to PG District 1 residents.

Please get there early so that you can get rid of all your personal papers.

There is a 3-box maximum. The shredder will accept all sorts of paper joined with staples and paper clips.

NO BINDER CLIPS, NO 3 RING BINDERS, NO SPIRAL ORGANIZERS, NO FOLDER ORGANIZERS WITH METAL INSERTS. NO PLASTIC ITEMS, NO ELECTRONIC ITEMS AND NO CDs.

There is also a shredding event in Laurel on March 7 from 9 AM to 11 AM. It will be at Montpelier Elementary School, 9200 Montpelier Road, Laurel. Again, get there early. It will go to 11 AM or until the truck is full. Again, remember, that some items are not accepted. See…
