CCA MISSION
The Calverton Citizens Association CCA exists for the benefit of the community – to improve public service, to provide recreational opportunities and to assist Calverton residents on matters of civic concern.
The Calverton Citizens Association:
- Produces and distributes 11 issues of the Calverton Current newsletter every year
- Produces and distributes the Calverton telephone directory every 2 years
- Maintains public grounds in Calverton – Calverton Boulevard and Galway Drive areas
- Sponsors the annual July 4th celebration – with refreshments, moon bounce, music, pony rides and fellowship with neighbors
- Sponsors special events such as International Day and Block Captain Appreciation Night
- Acts as your representative at county hearings and other meetings on issues relating to transportation, traffic, roads, street lighting, schools, and surrounding residential and commercial development
- Helps provide recreational opportunities for all ages through the CCA’s premier standing committee, the Calverton Recreation Council
- Assists residents on matters of civic concern, such as providing relevant phone numbers for whom to call for each county
